I fell in love with the Central Coast while earning my degree in Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After graduating, I became the Marketing Director of a locally owned international luxury real estate firm, working directly with sellers on the preparation and promotion of their properties during the listing period. After 5 years in that position, I joined a local top-producing real estate team. I have since developed my own team to service my clients and am backed by a full-time marketing staff, transaction coordinator, and trusted local vendors that I have established strong working relationships with over my 17 years in the industry.

If you're buying or selling property in the Central Coast, you need to work with Kate Hendrickson, she's a 10/10. She was referred to us by two other former clients and we're so glad they steered us her way. Kate's ability to communicate, follow up and keep us updated was incredible. Short version: If you want some incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, personable, caring, who is a go-getter and really really knows their stuff then she’s your realtor! 11/10 Long version: From start to now the experience my wife and I had with Kate has been exceptional. I spent nearly five hours on a Friday drilling several different agents, wanting to ensure we found someone who was not just competent but a good fit for us because buying a home is one of the biggest decisions people make in their lives and can be extremely stressful. After talking to Kate for about an hour and hounding her with questions I ended the call with a feeling in my gut that she was not just experienced and knowledgeable about the area absolutely, but that she actually cared and wanted to do right by us and was a terrific communicator. Once we decided to go with her it did take a house or two for us to warm-up to each other (walking around in masks on time constraints wasn’t helping) but soon we were cracking jokes back and forth and having as much fun as could be had considering the cut-throat sellers market at the beginning of 2021. Throughout the entire process Kate was super responsive and honed in on what we said we wanted. Now sometimes we thought we wanted one thing and then saw it and realized we were foolish, but Kate was really patient and kept fine-turning her understanding of us. She went above and beyond to make us feel like her most important clients, even though two teachers definitely aren’t buying a big expensive house, whether it was doing a day-of turnaround on an offer or texting me back at 6am! When it came down to the home we successfully got there was a weird hiccup with the listing status and we were crushed, but only for a few hours because Kate was on the job. I mean she was fierce about it and really fought for us. And boy did it work because my wife and I are in a home I can’t believe I get to wake up in. I seriously wake up wondering if I’m dreaming, and I have Kate to thank. We look forward to having her over for dinner and hot-tubbing once we finish getting settled in!

My husband and I worked with Kate to buy our first home. We have been working with her for SIX years (we were looking off and on) and through the entire process, she has been patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable and fought for us to get our first home in a VERY competitive market. Kate always goes above and beyond. She has written letters to owners on homes that we have showed interest in, provided recommendations for other services we needed and is constantly looking out for her clients. Kate is very trustworthy -- a quality I thought was hard to find in real estate. Over the last 6 years, though I'm sure her workload and clientele increased, she always made us feel like her VIP clients and was there for us and committed at the same level as she was on day 1. Though we will likely not be in the market for a home anytime soon, I will not hesitate to call Kate for all things real estate and recommend her to all our friends.

Kate was our unwavering partner in a home-buying process that spanned over a year, multiple offers, and two escrows. Her positivity, humor, and honesty got us through all the ups and downs. We were always confident knowing Kate was in our corner and would put our interests first. On more than one occasion, Kate talked my husband or I down (to our own benefit), but when we’d made a decision, even if she’d recommended against it, she advocated for us 100%. But what really sets Kate apart is how she showed up for us during and even after escrow. Kate worked her butt off arranging and supervising last-minute inspections and repairs on our property. She even captured, transported, and rehomed a feral cat left on the property. To this day, when any question or issue arises with our home, my husband or I will invariably say, “Ask Kate.” Kate is who you want in your corner for the home-buying and home-owning process!

I can't recommend Kate enough! She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and responded to all of my many questions in a very timely manner. Purchasing my very first home was very exciting and Kate made me feel at ease knowing she was there at every step of the way. She is very personable and I knew she had my best interest in mind from our first meeting. Kate was excellent at helping us first time homebuyers navigate the entire process. She was very effective in breaking down each step of the way and explaining the real estate vernacular while not making us feel like total rookies (which we are). Within three months of talking to a lender for the first time about buying a home, our very first offer submitted was accepted. This speaks to Kate's efficiency and knowledge of the buyer/seller dynamic and negotiation skills. Any question we had, and there were a lot, Kate would respond immediately and thoroughly. Kate was an absolute joy to work with. We relocated from San Diego to San Luis Obispo (SLO). Kate answered all of our questions about the SLO market in great detail. She helped us hone in on the ideal neighborhoods for us and knew everything about each new listing that came onto the market. Once we found our house, Kate partnered with us in making the best offer. I literally can't say enough good things about Kate. I didn't realize how it important it is to have a good realtor and luckily we came across Kate after a few less responsive ones. She went way above and beyond, to the extent of finding contractors, negotiating for the best rate, and managing renovations even after we closed. Kate is conscientious (always responsive and manages every aspect of the process as if it were her own house), she's a great negotiator (she saved us at least $10k), and overall she seems to really care about doing a great job. Kate recently helped us buy our first home. We can't recommend her enough - she is so excellent! We were referred to Kate by friends and will be sending others to her whenever we can. From our first meeting with her and through the whole process, she was very thoughtful, organized, thorough, and responsive. Viewing properties, she was really knowledgeable about construction and renovation questions, which we appreciated so much as it helped us stay in our price range and be realistic about what we could handle. Kate helped us find our perfect retirement home. When we started this journey with Kate all we knew was that we wanted to be on the Central Coast. Kate listened to our long list of requirements. Her knowledge of the area was invaluable when it came helping us narrow down all the possibilities and find just the right spot. As out of town buyers Kate kept us abreast of every step in the buying process and even went so far as to meet with and get bids from several different contractors so we would know exactly what we were getting ourselves into. She was terrific at negotiating on our behalf.
